For about 3 weeks I have had heart flutters of and on till a week ago and then they were constant,I couldn't even go to church Sunday because they wouldn't let up.I rarely ever drink a coke so I don't know what is causing them.No anxiety. It also at times feels like it is taking my breath away. Two times my BP got a little high but heart rate was very good. Can this be dangerous.I do have Premature Ventricular Contractions but when that acts up my heart beats very hard and fast but that is not happening now.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have had that feeling before and it was a little scary, but went away. I am not sure what it is, I thought personally it was a little anxiety even though I didn't have anything troubling me at the time. I think it is a good idea that you are getting it checked out, so you will know for sure, being that you have other medical problems as well. It is just best to get checked.

Atrial flutter is closely related to another arrhythmia called atrial fibrillation. The two sometimes alternate back and forth.

Atrial Flutter Symptoms

Some people have no symptoms at all with atrial flutter.

Others describe the following symptoms:

Palpitations (rapid heartbeat or a pounding sensation in the chest)

A "fluttering" or tremor-like feeling in the chest

Shortness of breath

Anxiety

People with underlying heart or lung disease who experience atrial flutter may have these and other, more significant symptoms.

Angina pectoris (chest or heart pains)

Feeling faint or light-headed

Fainting (syncope)

When to Seek Medical Care

If you experience any of the symptoms of atrial flutter

Yeah. It's a sign your body's well reached nicotine levels---and you're edging close to overdosing. Same effect happens when people overdo caffeine: Causes heart palpitations. Don't want the heart going into d-fib, trust me. Least you don't want to be alone when it DOES happen and hope others nearby know how to use an AED and the sense to call 911. Lay off the weed and tobacco a few months--let the body free up the nicotine levels; if you wish to quit from there....well, that's YOUR choice.

I have had heart flutters, with a little anxiety. But they don't last long. It can be frightening. I've yet to see a doctor about this.

Lord, I ask that you bring healing to my sister in Christ. I bind the chains, of these health problems. I loosen the Blessings of Good Health, Wealth, and Joy. You Oh Lord, are God Almighty, and nothing is impossible for you.

Blessings to you !!!!

I would see a cardiologist. I know nothing of these things and could not give you any info. looks as if you have some good responses and I would follow that good advice.

The only time I had such a thing as heart flutters was when I was in Vietnam aboard ship and accidentally grabbed hold of a live 440 volt knife switch with one hand and a pipe with the other. It kick me so hard that my heart stopped for several minutes. I almost passed out and then it fluttered for a long time before it found its rhythm again.

I hope you will be able to laugh about your flutters as I was able to about mine and that they trouble you no more.

First off are you feeling them in your throat? Or in your chest?

It could be nothing or something serious...

I have had the fluttering in my throat that lasted on and off a few days then just went away. If you have them often you need to see your Doctor ASAP. It could be a sign of something serious.

Here are some sites for you to read and see which one fits your symptoms best. I hope this helps you out. If it's still happening in the next day I would seriously think about letting a doctor take a listen. If you don't have insurance call your local Social Services and get numbers to free clinics or cheap ones. Good luck!!

The symptoms that you are describing sound like the symptoms that my mother experienced for a couple of weeks prior to her heart attack.

If you are feeling short of breath, that is an indication that there is not enough blood being pumped by your heart.

You must see a cardiologist very soon. It sounds like you need some medication. Don't wait. This is serious.

God bless.

When it comes to the heart you can never be too careful. I ignored warning signs for years and it came close to killing me. Go see your doctor, if it turns out to be nothing what have you lost. Hey .a hundred times wrong is better than a one time right.

I am not a doctor but do encourage you to see yours as my constant indigestion was the cause of more serious health issues..

MY prayers go out to you my friend.

GOD BLESS
