Hello, I have a really serious matter! My dad is sick he has irregular heart beat! He went to emergency 3times in the past 2months and there problem is that he has a heart beat ranging from 50beats to 140when he is lying down! Can anyone help me out here! I went to the family doctor, my family doctor does not really want to investigate it:" try this pill.....ooops....try this one tooo......ooops what about this one.....sorry did not work out! " I went to cardiologist he had a lot of tests done on my dad! He said:"HA....I have news for you-you are not sick"......
My dad is sick-he almost can't get up now! HELP ME!
I wonder if there is any kind of federal agency where I can report careless docs or launch an investigation. I do not really care about investigation of docs, though-I care about them taking my dad's illness serious and doing something!
Please HHHHELPPP!
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Keep all documentation (test results, emergency room diagnosis and treatment, etc.) to help bolster your case.

I don't know if the doctors or clinics gave out a sheet detailing the patient's rights and responsibilities. If they did, look for the complaint or grievance procedures. This may suggest a way of proceeding.

I don't know if you can afford it, but you are allowed to try another doctor. If he has a heart problem and it is not being taken seriously enough, then you may need to do this ASAP.

If you have a complaint, and you've tried reconciling it with the doctors with no success, and it involves questionable treatment and diagnosis, you can try your state board of medical examiners. Check your state government's web pages, or use a search engine. However, things may take a while to wind through the system, and no outcome is guaranteed.

Hi, I'm really sorry to hear of your distress.

I think that the most important thing for you to do is not to panic just now.

Think clearly and calmly. That way you will be most use to your Dad.

The fact that the ER has looked at your Dad, and found nothing wrong is good news.

If it was my Dad I would be looking to get him to a Heart specialist - possibly in a big city, and to a specialist with a proven good reputation.

Best wishes.

Try some form of alternate healing. Doctors don't know everything about the human body, that's why they experiment with our bodies and lives.

You can try reporting the doctor to the District Attorney's office, but i don't know if they are going to look into it or not.
